Rachelle Nicole Hoffman is clearly an anti-alternative-lifestyle pundit, and she’s clearly on a crusade to literally show just how degenerate the scene is. Actually, at 30 years of age, she’s driving forward with a full head of steam as she runs her Ritual Addictions Tattoo shop in Glendale, Arizona. Considering Rachelle “firmly believes that a tattoo and piercing shop should be consistently focused on creating a safe and fun environment for every client,” it’s no surprise Ritual has quickly become one of Arizona’s best shops.

Although she’s a piercer by trade, the first thing you’ll likely notice about her is her incredibly gorgeous skin canvas, which includes numerous horror themes. It’s an odd thing that she sort of fell into the alternative model business, being that her art is exceptional, she stands at 6 feet, and she’s a total knockout. In roughly a year’s time Rachelle has gone from a photo shoot to several photo shoots to appearing in a music video.

Yeah, she’s an up-and-comer and our Hell’s Temple had the chance to chat with her for an interview.

How old were you when you got your first tattoo?
22 years old.

How did you come up with the ideas for your tattoos? What made you choose horror?
I chose horror because it was something I grew up on, since I was like 2 years old I’ve been watching them. It’s something I will always love and never regret having on me.

What would you say was your biggest inspiration regarding the horror movie genre?
Nightmare on Elm Street is what hooked me when I was little. I still love it to this day.

I’ve noticed that you have a huge leg sleeve consisting of a lot of key horror icons. Which would you say is your favorite piece and why?
On my leg, I would say my Freddy piece is my favorite. Goes back to how much I loved [the movie] growing up.

You also have some horror icons tattooed on you multiple times. I take it you have a few more favorites.
I have multiple Pet Sematary pieces, also one of my faves, and the Devils Rejects, which is high up there as well.

Can you describe the idea behind your chest piece?
It’s the final scene from House of 1000 Corpses, another favorite. I wanted a piece that not too many people would get, so I placed it there.

Well seeing as how you love both House of 1000 Corpses and Devil’s Rejects, I’m assuming that you’re a huge Rob Zombie fan?
Huge Zombie fan, yes. I have him on my foot as well.

That’s awesome, and I have to admit… you have the most original concepts when it comes to your sleeves and pieces.
Well, thank you. That’s what I was going for.

So when did you decide to go with the horror theme? Was this a plan when you got your first tattoo?
I wasn’t sure when I first started. My first piece was a memorial for my best friend, then I did my Devil’s Rejects sleeve and decided a full body suit of horror would be awesome!

Do you still have the memorial to your friend?
No I covered that one up. We are going to make him a new one, just bigger and tied into my theme.
