Listen To The Stream Of Hollow’s Debut Album, Mordrake

To lump Quebec’s Hollow in with melodic death metal seems like a short-sell. Truly, this band has many more facets to their sound, not excluding black metal, symphonic metal, or thrash. That’s why I’m just going to go ahead and call them extreme metal. Actually, really fucking good extreme metal!

But you can decide for yourself when you listen to Hollow’s debut album, Mordrake. The album was just released last week, on May 30th, but the band has since made the album available to stream on YouTube. Sincerely, you need to check this band and this album out; there’s no doubt that it will surprise you.

Hollow is also taking an active approach:

Here is Mordrake for all to enjoy! Listen, comment, and share because nothing is worth more to us than your opinions.

That is possibly the best part about living in our technological age, that is having the ability to interact with the people who make the stuff we like.

You can order Mordrake on iTunes and on Bandcamp with a limited-edition Hate T-Shirt designed by Bob Skelton, the acclaimed airbrush artist responsible for Hollow’s corpse paint.

Don’t forget to check out Hollow’s video for “Landscape”

Additional Details on Hollow:

[sic]
Produced at Uplift Studios by Kevin Jardine (Slaves On Dope) and co-produced by Dan Lauzon (Entropy) and Hollow, the debut is the follow up to the band’s 2010 EP Cynoptic Eschaton and features 12 extreme tracks all recorded with an unique analogue approach. Without the use of any triggers, midi or copy/paste editing, the album showcases live off the floor performances that bring a breath of fresh air into an over-compressed and digital world of today’s recordings.

Since 2009, Hollow has been conquering audiences across Québec and Ontario with their unique look and high-energy stage performances, which has seen them perform at festival such as Heavy MTL and Trois Riveieres Metal Fest plus share the stage with names such as Voivod, Suffocation, Sword, Jungle Rot, Blackguard, The Agonist, 1349, Tyr, Orphaned Land, Aborted, Augury and many more.
