Halloween (1978) - 35th Anniversary

It’s the 35th anniversary of John Carpenter’s most successful indie picture at the time, Halloween, and “The Shape” is coming after you next week in an all new HD transfer. So get ready to make sure to check all your corners because pure evil is also returning to the big screen next month.

Anchor Bay Entertainment, which has been the home to Halloween for almost 20 years, is releasing a special edition of this epic slasher masterpiece on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, that will include a bunch of bonus features (listed below). The HD transfer was personally supervised by the film’s original cinematographer and Academy-Award nominee Dean Cundey in striking new 7.1 audio mix. The Blu-ray will also feature a brand-new full length audio commentary by Carpenter and star Jamie Lee Curtis.

President of Trancas International Films Malek Akkad stated:

I’m so happy that we’re partnering with them [Anchor Bay] to present the definitive edition of what is widely acknowledged as one of the seminal horror films of the 20th century.

Like we previously said, John Carpenter’s Halloween is also coming to theaters again in more than 100 participating locations in the U.S. Plus, the horror saga will continue with Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers. That’s right! Screenings will take place throughout the month of Halloween and you can visit the link to find a theater near you and purchase tickets in advance.

Blu-ray Bonus features:

- All-new commentary track with writer/director John Carpenter and star Jamie Lee Curtis
- “The Night She Came Home” new featurette with Jamie Lee Curtis (HD)
- On Location
- Trailers
- TV & Radio Spots
- Additional Scenes from TV Version”

Recently I was extremely low on cash and debts were eating me from all sides! That was UNTIL I decided to make money on the internet! I went to surveymoneymaker dot net, and started filling in surveys for cash, and surely I’ve been far more able to pay my bills! I’m so glad, I did this!! With all the financial stress these years, I really hope all of you will give it a chance. – yki4
