Watch The Official Trailer For Steven Kostanski And Jeremy Gillespie’s The Void [VIDEO]

Steven Kostanski and Jeremy Gillespie‘s The Void is finally heading to theaters following its successful premiere last year at the Fantastic Fest. A teaser trailer has been released to give horror hounds another taste of some of the cosmic dread to come.

Kostanski is highly recognized in the horror scene for his feature films Father’s Day and the b-movie hit Manborg. In addition to having a keen eye behind the lenses, Kostanski has done extensive work with practical and makeup effects. He has been involved in the makeup department for Suicide Squad, Crimson Peak, and Clown, among many others including the upcoming It reboot.

Kostanski’s next feature film The Void is a genre fans wet dream with inspirations coming from various sci-fi horror classics such as The Thing, The Visitor, and perhaps Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

In THE VOID, officer Daniel Carter (Aaron Poole) happens upon a blood-soaked figure limping down a deserted stretch of road while he’s in the middle of a routine patrol. He rushes the young man to a nearby rural hospital staffed by a skeleton crew, only to discover that patients and personnel are transforming into something inhuman. As the horror intensifies, Carter leads the other survivors on a hellish voyage into the subterranean depths of the hospital in a desperate bid to end the nightmare before it’s too late.

The film hits theaters and VOD on April 7th from Screen Media Films. In the meantime, check out the trailer and spread the word on The Void!
