Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining is never tiresome to watch, it’s so good, in fact, that you could practically watch 1,000 times a year and still not be bored with it. But have you ever wanted to get a little more out of it? If so, then next year you may want to get yourself a pair of tickets for REDRUM: The Unauthorized Musical Parody of The Shining. This is a brand new musical that promises to resurrect the sick and twisted characters of The Overlook Hotel. In fact, almost all the characters are back in this quick-witted musical, such as Lloyd the Bartender, the infamous Bear, and the Female Doctor, just to name a few.
Written by Joe Lovero and composed by Jon Hugo Ungar, REDRUM: The Unauthorized Musical Parody of The Shining is set to hit the stage over theSeason in 2015. The musical parody stars Alice Ripley as Wendy, Douglas Sills as Jack, and Remy Zaken as the “boy who shines” Danny, and so many more.
