Thor: The Dark World won’t hit theaters until November 8, 2013 (a week after many European countries will get it), but at least we get this epic extended trailer to salivate over.
Featuring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston, this trailer shows way too much great action and we can only hope that they saved a few surprises. There’s even a great one-liner, even if it was practically lifted right off the pages of the Raiders of the Lost Ark script. But in case you’re wondering, the stone giant that Thor shatters is a Kronan, an alien creature from Thor’s introductory comic Journey Into Mystery #83.
Of the recent Marvel films, the first Thor film ranks pretty damn high on my list, so it’s without question that I’m excited to see this sequel. Somehow, there just seems to be a greater literary arc in the Thor story that I like.
Let us know in the comments section below what you think of Thor: The Dark World. And tell us which is your favorite Marvel film.
And before I forget, let’s get Amon Amarth on the damn soundtrack.
Thor: The Dark World synopsis:
Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
