Capcom has officially announced a return to the origins of the Resident Evil series in this HD remaster of the 2002 survival horror classic, Resident Evil 0. As some may remember, RE0 was originally a Nintendo Gamecube prequel (a port was later released in 2008 for the Wii in the Japan) to the first Resident Evil and covers the ordeals experienced in the Arklay Mountains by Bravo Team, a division of the S.T.A.R.S police force.
RE0 features a unique “partner zapping” system, which allows the player to switch in between Billy and Rebecca at will throughout the game to solve puzzles and take advantage of their unique abilities.
The announcement trailer above teases the upcoming survival horror video game, which is slated for an early 2016 release. The HD remaster of RE0 will be available for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
