star wars original trilogy blu-ray release

Well, Star Wars fans, it looks like your prayers have been answered. Reports indicate that Disney/Lucasfilm will release the original trilogy (A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of Jedi) in their complete, unaltered, original form without the redone special edition SFX, and on Blu-Ray!

According to Comicbook.com, the project has taken longer than expected because of damage to the original negatives that they’re using. However, plans are to release the trilogy prior to the release of Star Wars Episode VII, but no date has been established yet.

We’ll keep you posted as this story develops.
