In fact, she started the fighting career from a Muay Thai. A girl got involved in the fighting because of her ex-boyfriend Kevin Ross. Gina didn’t spend a lot of time in Muay Thai but her bouts were always exciting. Later she broke up with Kevin but she still confirms that he was a very important person in her life. The bright career of this sportswoman in MMA started in summer 2006: she won in the bout against Leiticia Pestova in Las Vegas. In September, she participated in the famous show World Pro Fighting and fought Rosi Sexton from England. Gina knocked out Rosi in the 2nd round, that was her second win.

In winter 2006, Carano was participated in Strikeforce: Triple Threat that was in San Jose. She was fighting with a serious opponent: Elaina Maxwell from the USA. The next two fights where Gina became a winner, were in 2008. The first game of 2008 was in Showtime EliteXC: Primetime in Sunrise, Florida. Gina had a bout with the American fighter Kaitlin Young. A day earlier, Gina got a problem: she didn’t make weight, so the woman had to confirm to pay 12,5% of her premium to Kaitlin. Carano won via technical knockout. The second game of 2008 was on Showtime EliteXC: Heat where the woman fought against Kelly Kobold from Minnesota. It was a quite complicated fight for Gina but finally, she won.

For six times, Gina Carano remained a winner, but her seventh fight brought her a loss. On August 2009 she was fighting in Strikeforce with Cris Cyborg. Gina lost the bout via technical knockout. After this defeat, Carano spent 2010 mostly in shooting movies without any fights. At the very beginning of 2018, the woman said in the interview she had a temptation to come back in MMA but she hesitates. Gina admitted she even got some proposals to sign contracts but never did it. So, maybe Gina needs some time to set her priorities.
