Belated Happy Halloween ghouls ‘n’ ghosts! And with this shout out comes some great news that will make you regret ever throwing out your collection of horror VHS tapes, if you happen to be a mossback like myself. By the way, I never thought I would be saying that, but since V/H/S is a hit among genre fans, and had the weak faint during the premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, I’m actually pleased that I made it through an era in which tracking adjustment was a must to fine-tune the playback on each VHS tape I owned or rented. And, to think, most people simply called this a nuisance.

V/H/S

Anyways, let’s get back to the headlining news, which is about the sequel to V/H/S, an anthology horror film that features a series of found-footage segments carefully told by up-and-coming genre directors that have bigger balls then King Kong. V/H/S 2 is planned to follow the anatomy of the first film, as it will be produced once again by The Collective, and horror news website Bloody Disgusting.

The sequel is also moving forward with the following new directors: Gareth Evans (The Raid), Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project), Jason Eisener (Hobo with a Shotgun), Timo Tjahjanto (Macabre), Adam Wingard, and Simon Barrrett will all partake in a segment of V/H/S 2.

V/H/S is currently circulating in limited theaters, and VOD with a home video release slated for December 4, 2012.
