Phoenix Forgotten Looks Amazeballs!

This is super exciting, and judging from the trailer alone, Phoenix Forgotten is a sci-fi/horror masterpiece that demands instant-classic status. But with Hollywood legends, like Ridley Scott, taking on a project that typically belongs to the indie, low-budget realm, it could go either way: it could be a massive success or a gigantic disaster. I’m not going to lie, it does look like the alien version of The Blair Witch Project. Nonetheless, it must be seen by fans of the genre.

The movie is Phoenix Forgotten, and it’s based on the shocking, true events of March 13, 1997, when several mysterious lights appeared over Phoenix, Arizona. This unprecedented and inexplicable phenomenon became known as The Phoenix Lights, and remains the most famous and widely viewed UFO sighting in history.

Phoenix Forgotten opens in 1,700 theaters nationwide on April 21st. As mentioned, the Justin Barber-directed movie was produced by Ridley Scott (The Martian, Alien, Blade Runner), along with Wes Ball (The Maze Runner franchise), and T.S. Nowlin (Pacific Rim: Uprising, The Maze Runner franchise), who also co-wrote the movie with Barber.
