This, Yellers, is what happens when real metalheads do metalcore instead of hipster posers thinking they can pull off authenticity! This is aggressive, powerful, it has a song structure, the screams are rough instead of scratchy and the clean vocals are mature instead of sounding like Blink 182 or Sum 41. Yup, my friends, this is the real deal. This has fucking balls!

New Jersey’s Toothgrinder have released the video for “Lace & Anchor,” which hails from their Spinefarm Records debut, Nocturnal Masquerade. The album sees release on January 29th, and you can pre-order it now, right here.

Check out the “Lance & Anchor” video here.

And if you want more Toothgrinder, the band hits the road on The Crucible Tour a week into the New Year. See below for dates.

Vocalist Justin Matthews comments on the track:

‘Lace & Anchor’ is a confession piece, something that was really dug up from the gut and spit up violently onto paper. Lyrically it is one of the most personal songs I have ever written. It bridged the gap between Schizophrenic Jubilee and the rest of Nocturnal Masquerade.
