Former WBC Heavyweight Champion, “Iron Mike”, was the baddest man on a the planet at one time in his career, winning 50 in a total of 58 fights. With 44 of them by a clean KO, and that is completely unheard of nowadays, despite the criticism he got for facing underwhelming competition during his unbeaten run as champion. Mike definitely knows a thing or two about fighting, is an understatement. In my opinion, Mike is the grandfather of intimidation, defeating most of his opponents mentally before the first bell ring. Just watch his self-titled documentary Tyson, and you will know exactly what I mean.
Aside from his glory inside the ring, I’ll admit that I was never fond of him in his past interviews. Although always entertaining, he seems to have developed over the years an outstanding form of articulation and the way he tells his story is just gripping. In this recent interview with Good Day LA, the last few words of advice coming from Mike to’s bantamweight champion , almost had me shed a tear. It’s a fantastic one of a kind interview that is worth a watch by any fight fan.
