After a failed attempt at a television series, it appears that Zombieland is going to get a proper sequel. Details are thin, but so far Deadline is reporting that Zombieland 2 has a writer and director. Ruben Fleischer will return to direct and Dave Callaham has been called in to write the script. Callaham is responsible for Doom, The Expendables (1 and 2), and the most recent Godzilla movie, so he should be quite capable of penning a solid zomedy script.
At this point there’s no word on whether or not Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Abigail Breslin, or Bill Murray will return. For that matter, there’s no word yet if the cast of characters ( Tallahassee, Little Rock, Wichita, and Columbus) will return in the sequel.
