If you needed an excuse to go to Chicago, you just found one if you’re a horror fan — especially if you’re a fan of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Among the massive list of celebrity guests who will be giving some face time at the annual Flashback Weekend – Chicago Horror Convention this August 8-10, is Robert Englund.
But it won’t be just Englund, no, the dream demon himself, Freddy Krueger, will be there to sign autographs and take pictures with you. That’s right, Englund will don the Krueger make-up one last time, so the promotion says. And that’s not all, folks; none other than Robert Kurtzman (A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, New Nightmare, Evil Dead II, Misery, Army of Darkness, From Dusk Till Dawn, Scream, Hostel: Part III, Texas Chainsaw 3D) will be applying the make-up, so you know it’s going to kick fucking ass.
On the Friday night, Englund will appear on stage as Krueger for a talk show with Chicago’s own horror host Svengoolie. You’ll have to cough up the $365 for the deluxe package to gain access, but that price also includes a photo with Krueger.
