Peoria, Illinois, hardcore band Ghost Key debuted their new song, “Dismantle,” which is streaming right now over at Lambgoat. I have to say, there’s always something special and revealing about a mid-tempo hardcore song… especially with a spoken word intro.
Vocalist Austin O’Brien said:
‘Dismantle’ was written with the idea that it would feature our friend and an amazing poet, Keyoung. He’s played a huge part in this band since the beginning and we love his work so it made sense to feature him. The song’s content is about examining and understanding myself and my depression and the struggle of fighting back when it shows its face.
The track is featured on the band’s upcoming EP, The Things I Am Not, which is due out on June 30th, from No Sleep Records and available now for pre-order here.
