Is there a better voice than Lance Henriksen for alien-themed films? If you said no, then you might want to check out Alien Rising from Breaking Glass Pictures and Pathfinder Films. The sci-fi thriller is currently available on VOD, but the DVD will be released on January 20, 2015.
Alien Rising is directed by Dana Schroeder and stars Lance Henriksen (The Terminator, Aliens), Brian Krause (Charmed, Another World), and John Savage (The Deer Hunter, Hair).

Personally, it looks like there’s too much low-quality CGI, which could be distracting, eliminating some of the tension. Also, that first ship that flies across the screen in the trailer looks like a giant penis.
Alien Rising Synopsis:
Lisa Morgan (Amy Hathaway) is an ex-homeland security agent and a highly competent martial artist who gets drawn into the nefarious plans of the egomaniacal Colonel Cencula (Henriksen). He runs a top-secret research facility buried in an extinct volcano on an uncharted tropical island. Cencula plans to use alien technology to build an army of drone soldiers. Morgan becomes an unwitting accomplice to the rogue Colonel’s plans until she discovers the true nature of the research. She must stop him from succeeding at all cost.
