So it begins, production for Insidious Chapter 3 is underway and we now have a very first look at one of the co-stars and the director on the set of the third installment. Since James Wan isn’t directing anymore, writer and first time director Leigh Whannell is taking full charge of Insidious Chapter 3, you can see him guiding Lin Shaye for her third appearance in the franchise as Elise Rainier, an experienced paranormal investigator who appeared to be dead in the final events of the first entry. She survived and has further plans to help the Lambert family fight off the tormented souls.
Apparently, Chapter 3 steps back in time and visits “a new tale of terror for teenage girl and her family, predating the haunting of the Lambert family in the earlier movies and revealing more mysteries of the otherworldly realm The Further.”
Insidious Chapter 3 drops in theaters on May 29th, 2015.
