Mobile game Hitman: Sniper launched yesterday, June 4th, from Square Enix Montreal, and you can catch the launch trailer above. It looks like a lot of fun, and should be enough to stave off the hungry fans until the next console installment gets properly promoted and released.

Until then, enjoy this trailer and the game’s corresponding press release, which gives details about the game, below.

Hitman: Sniper is available in the App Store and the Play Store.

Hitman: Sniper Launch Details

All of us here at Square Enix Montréal are extremely excited to announce that Hitman: Sniper will be unleashed tomorrow, on June 4th, both on the App Store and Google Play! It may have taken us a little more time than expected – but we believe if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

In Hitman: Sniper, you take on the role of Agent 47 in this highly competitive sniper/assassination game for phones and tablets. Set in beautiful Montenegro, you will face multiple scenario-driven contracts on one hugely varied, evolving map that contains many targets and assignments, each of them designed to be replayed, not only to finesse your approach, but to achieve the perfect score on the leaderboards.

As some of you may have noticed, we’ve spent quite some time in soft launch receiving feedback and comments from everyone who enjoyed and shared the early version of the game, during which we worked hard to iron out all the wrinkles before putting it out there for everyone. We are excited to share that Hitman: Sniper will launch as a premium title focused around a creative, leaderboard-driven sandbox for players to experience.

Keep an eye out for it tomorrow on the App Store and the Play Store – and in the meantime, we’re always happy to chat on Twitter or Facebook, so get in touch with us whenever you like!

We are looking forward to seeing you on the leaderboards!
