Bowl Ethereal released their self-titled, sophomore 7” on 22 July 2014 (you can catch our review here), and just yesterday the duo released the official video for “The Last Minute.” Drummer Pen Rollings (Honor Role, Breadwinner, Loincloth) calls his partner, guitarist/bassist Brian Metz a “riff faucet,” and one play through this track proves his case. It’s a solid riff monster that needs to be much longer than its 1:20 play time. Then again, the short songs are part of the beauty of this 7”; you can play it and play it again ad nauseam.
The video is chock full of occult images and some of it gets a bit graphic. I suppose that’s part of the reason why we like it so much. Long live Satan!
