20 years later, I still hear that MMA has trouble going mainstream, even with the UFC putting on free events on FOX Sports, one of the world’s largest sports networks in the United States. Maybe after all these years the UFC just doesn’t have the right formula for kick ass events and an exciting roster of fighters under their banner. Let’s face it, Georges St-Pierre had some of the lamest fights in UFC history for a champion. Rory MacDonald is a sleepfest too these days.
Personally speaking, I think the UFC needs to sign superheroes like Batman and Robin, and someone like Spider-Man who isn’t afraid to step it up with a bit of 2-on-1 MMA action. I don’t know where this combat sport takes place, but I sure hope superhero MMA comes to North America very soon.
