Fates Warning – “I Am” Video + North American Tour Dates

This past September, U.S. prog metal giants Fates Warning released their 11th studio album, and first in nearly a decade, Darkness in a Different Light. The album has received great critical and fan response, placing it well on a number of charts. The band just finished their first headlining tour of Europe (hard to believe when you consider that their first album came out in 1984) and are now currently out to conquer North America. A list of dates can be found below.

Fates Warning didn’t leave Europe empty handed: Coming out of that tour is the new video, shot live, for the track “I Am.” You don’t get to hear much live audio, but it is nice to see a professionally shot video of a band playing at a small venue. Thanks for producing Oliver Barth/Visions In Fear.

U.S. Progressive Metal pioneers Fates Warning have recently finished a successful first European headlining tour in support of “Darkness In A Different Light”, their first new studio album effort in almost a decade and InsideOutMusic debut, and are about the commence a full North American run.

The first track released from Darkness in a Different Light was “Firefly,” which has very different feel than “I Am,” but equally inspirational in its sound.

Darkness In A Different Light was produced by Fates Warning guitarist and main composer Jim Matheos (Arch / Matheos) and mixed by the band’s long-time engineer Phil Magnotti, while mastering duties were handled by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering, California. The artwork was designed by Conte di San Pietro.

Order Darkness in a Different Light through Amazon: CD – $11.88 or MP3 – $5.99
