As I Lay Dying Interview With Tim Lambesis + Your Chance To Star In Their Next Video

We caught up with As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis at D-TOX Rockfest in Montebello, Quebec. How we did it was, after observing him marching around backstage, we threw a potato sack over his head and hogtied him. It was no easy feat. Have you seen the size of this guy? It literally took eight of us to do it. Eight is enough, right? Then we stuffed him into the back of our van, put some interrogation lights on him and asked our questions – namely, “When’s the next fucking album coming out, dude?”

When he wouldn’t answer, we stuffed his face full of the caterer’s definition of spaghetti and put an apple in his mouth. Then, and only then, was Tim ready to answer our questions.

So, in order to force you, dear reader, to watch our video interview, I’m not going to divulge too much information here. However, we asked Tim what the title of the upcoming As I Lay Dying album will be; we asked about how heavy it will be; we asked about his fitness program; we asked about Austrian Death Machine; we asked who’s the mom of the band; we asked about social media; and much more.

As I Lay Dying

We’ve also included a clip of As I Lay Dying’s new single, “Cauterize,” in the middle of our interview. The new album is titled Awakened, and should be out on September 25th on Metal Blade records.

For now, you’ll have to settle for “Cauterize” or go see them on the Mayhem festival – unless you’re going to be in the Los Angeles area on June 27, 2012. As I Lay Dying is holding a casting call for 100 athletic men to appear as extras in their next video for the song “A Greater Foundation.” If you’re interested, here are the details:

Address: 1328 Lake Shore Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90026
Time: We’d like everyone to arrive at 10:00 AM
Parking: Free street parking
Requirements: You must be 18 years of age with a valid form of ID.
Dress code: Dark colors, No Logos, Bring clothing options
