On The 12th Day Of Halloween… “Welcome To My Nightmare”

Is there a better shock rocker than Alice Cooper? Maybe. But that’s subjective to personal oppinion. But it’s hard to argue with the fact that Alice Cooper is certainly the godfather of shock rock, and an inspiration to countless followers. And it doesn’t get much more quintessentially Alice than the classic track, “Welcome to my Nightmare.”

What you’re watching in the video player above is a performance of that track being played at Wacken, the whole concert of which becomes available on CD/DVD tomorrow (October 21st) via UDR Music.

Alice Cooper Raise The Dead – Live From Wacken will be available as DVD + CD Digipack. The DVD contains 22 songs from the Wacken concert, including covers of The Doors’ “Break on Through,” The Who‘s “My Generation,” and Pink Floyd‘s “Another Brick in the Wall.” Plus there’s bonus material shows and a 20-minute interview with the man himself, and the double CD features music from the complete concert. The set is also available in Blu-Ray Amaray (Full HD) format.

Not only is Alice Cooper Raise The Dead – Live From Wacken an excellent release, it also benefits charity! When Alice learned about the charity aspect of the set, he was very happy to be one the first to participate and support the Wacken Foundation. The Wacken Foundation is a non-profit organization, supporting the new blood of hard rock/heavy metal music. For every CD/DVD sold, € 1 will be contributed to the Wacken Foundation.
