Next month get ready to get uncomfortable with SyFy’s upcoming grindhouse series, Blood Drive. An all-new show which pays homage to classic movies such as The Running Man, Mad Max, and Death Race 2000, just to name a small few.
If you love tons of blood, gruesome characters, and carnage at unimaginable speeds then expect to see something that you’ll truly enjoy. In fact, Blood Drive was barely approved for television, so you won’t be disappointed next month.
After Los Angeles’ last good cop (Alan Ritchson) is forced to join a twisted cross-country death race, his only hope of survival is a dangerous femme fatale who has the need for speed (Christina Ochoa). Oh, and forget gasoline… these cars run on human blood!
The series is from Universal Cable Productions and executive producers John Hlavin (Underworld Awakening), David Straiton () and Frederik Malmberg (Let Me In), along with producer Mark Wheeler (Becoming).
Blood Drive is slated to premiere on June 14th at 10/9c on Syfy.
