We saw Warbringer live a year or so ago, and it was one of the best acts we’d ever seen. They perform like madmen and encourage the audience to act just as insanely, inviting fans to jump on stage and stage dive into the audience. The venue we were at had a low ceiling with pipes running this way and that, and if fans could, they hung from those pipes, climbing around like caged animals until security pulled them down. It was a wicked time indeed, my friends.

Warbringer now has a new video out for the track “Black Sun, Black Moon,” and it’s a total ripper. The track comes off their latest album, IV: Empires Collapse, which can be ordered at Amazon on CD or MP3.
There’s nothing hugely spectacular about the video, but it is entertaining to see the band play at night in the middle of nowhere with a small narrative to go along with the video. Singer John Kevill had this to say about the video shoot:
We went out to the most desolate stretch of highway we could find out in the Mojave desert. It’s a fitting location for this song, which is a motorin’ heavy metal tune, with a Priest highway-rollin’ type feel crossed with the forbidding mysticism of the night!
