A brand new video from the set of The Walking Dead Season 5 has emerged from the grave to give you a bloody taste on what to expect from the highly anticipated season, which is expected to introduce new characters and place a few Terminus cannibals as regulars. Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) also reassures fans that the very first episode of Season 5 is the most ambitious one to date, and believes it’s the best season in the entire Walking Dead franchise.
It’s the most ambitious first episode I think we’ve attempted. It moves like no other premiere we’ve ever shot before, and if this is anything to go by for the season, I think it’s going to be the best season yet.
In previous reports, it has been confirmed that Seth Gilliam (The Wire) will be joining the cast of Season 5, however, his role has not been revealed yet. In addition to Seth, Terminus leader, Gareth, played by Andrew J. West will become a series regular along with Alanna Masterson (Tara) and Christian Serratos (Rosita).
The Walking Dead Season 5 returns in October with 16 new episodes on AMC, but a specific date hasn’t been set in stone yet. We’ll keep Yellers posted once AMC makes an official announcement, so stay tune.
