In Cooties, a deadly food virus struck the cafeteria of an elementary school, turning school children into killer zombies. It’s up to a bunch of misfit teachers to stop them and escape the playground of carnage.
The film did extremely well with audiences at the Stanley Film Festival in April, and soon other horror hounds around the world will get to experience the madness because Cooties is heading to select theaters and on demand on September 18, 2015 from the newly-launched Lionsgate Premiere label. A first trailer for the film is now online, giving us an early taste on what’s to come.
Written by horror mastermind Leigh Whannell and Ian Brennan, Cooties is a horror-comedy that stars Elijah Wood, Rainn Wilson, and Alison Pill. The film was directed by Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion.
