The Orchard will release The Canal to select theaters and VOD on October 10th. For now, enjoy the new U.S. poster and the old(er) trailer (a new one is expected to drop soon).
If you haven’t heard of The Canal, it recently scared the bejesus out of audiences at the San Diego Comic Con. The film was written and directed by Ivan Kavanagh, and stars Antonia Campbell-Hughes, Rupert Evans, and Steve Oram.
The Canal Synopsis:
The Canal tells the story of David Williams (Hellboy‘s Rupert Evans) and his wife, Alice, who move into a beautiful period house by the canal with their small child, Billy. As David begins to suspect that his wife is cheating on him, he also starts to have nightmarish visions of an evil presence he believes inhabits his home. Eventually, brutal 20th-century murders are revealed and present-day horrors consume the protagonists.
