The Soska Sisters (aka, the Twisted Twins), Jen and Sylvia, after the massive cult-following success of their latest film release, American Mary, have fast become “the next big thing” in horror. Now the twin directors have been tagged to direct See No Evil 2, which will once again star wrestler Kane as Jacob Goodnight.
As with See No Evil, the sequel will be a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) production in association with Lionsgate. The script is being co-written by Nathan Brookes and Bobby Lee Darby.
While the Soska Sisters swear that their “lips our sealed as to any details on the story itself, [they] can say that even those who think they know what they’ll be getting are going to be blown away.” However, Variety reports that:
“Kane will return as the reclusive madman Jacob Goodnight, who rises from the dead in the city morgue after his killing spree at the Blackwell Hotel and goes after a group of medical students who fight to survive.”
If you’re wondering how the sequel ties in with Gregory Dark’s See No Evil, don’t worry, there’s a loose overlap. In the first film, a group of teens are tasked with cleaning up the abandoned Blackwell Hotel, where Jacob resides and kills.
And if you’re looking for an Easter Egg… WWE is expected to release a Leprechaun reboot next year.
