Down and Black Label Society (BLS) are currently hitting some dates together, and fans at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts, got a special treat when Phil Anselmo returned to the stage to perform the Pantera classic “I’m Broken.”
I think we’ve all pretty much let the idea of a Pantera reunion with Zakk Wylde like an amputated limb with Gangrene, so when something special like this happens, we just gotta share. Check out the shitty cell phone video in the player above. As poor as the video and sound quality is, we get a pretty good sense of how Phil and Zakk sound together. Zakk could definitely do a nice job with Pantera’s material, bringing with him a slightly bluesier character to the metal madness.
How do you think the two sound together? Is there room here for another side project for the two?
