It’s a well-known fact that the Asian market loves heavy metal. Not only are the fans rabid, but they’re loyal. This fact makes it all the more surprising to learn that Ozzfest Japan 2013 will be the first time that the festival will be held in the Land of the Rising Sun.
While only two bands are confirmed, Black Sabbath and Slipknot, there will be many more confirmations to come throughout the year since two dates are scheduled. Ozzfest Japan 2013 will be held from May 11 to 12, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City (outside Tokyo).
In a couple of videos promoting Ozzfest Japan 2013, Ozzy looks bewildered by what he’s doing, but Sharon is keyed in and stated the following:
“Ozzy and I want to tell you that [in] May 2013, we’ll be bringing Ozzfest to Japan for the first time ever. We are so excited. Please be there because we love you, Japan.”
