If you agree with the number one rule of remakes, “don’t fuck with the original,” and you’re a die-hard fan of classics, then there’s two lucky treats waiting for you in October that we’re dying to tell you about.
Since the 30th anniversary of the original Terminator is coming up shortly, the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood will be hosting an exclusive screening of the 1984 sci-fi classic on October 15th, along with special guest appearances. Arnold Schwarzenegger who played the practically unstoppable T-800 cyborg stalker will be attending alongside Canadian director James Cameron and producer Gale Anne Hurd. They will all participate in a discussion about The Terminator with fans after the end credits roll.
Tickets are priced at $25 apiece and will go on sell on Thursday, September 25th. However, since tickets are expected to sell out fast, American Cinematheque Members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets ahead on Wednesday, September 24th. So act quickly!
In addition to The Terminator, Michael Myers, also known as The Shape, will also be stalking babysitters next month. SpectiCast in partnership with Compass International Pictures and Trancas International Films are bringing a restored and re-mastered version of John Carpenter’s immortal 1978 classic, Halloween, back to theaters worldwide beginning October 1st, with select screenings available through October 31st.
Halloween is expected to be screened on more than 500 screens at select theaters in over twelve countries around the world.
