The third installment in the Planet of the Ape franchise won’t be released anytime soon, so I’m sure fans are itching to see an early tease as soon as possible. And guess what? A tease may be coming in the very near future.
Earlier this week, director Matt Reeves revealed the official logo treatment on Twitter for War for the Planet of the Apes (formerly known as War of the Planet of the Apes) and promised a “special announcement” is coming this Sunday during the seventh episode of The Walking Dead Season 6. That’s right! A new tease or possibly even the unveil of a teaser trailer. Let’s hope for both, but don’t hold your breath for anything extremely exciting yet because we still think the first trailer will be shown in the previews at Star Wars: The Force Awakens screenings. And that’s happening in mid-December.
