Since The Expendables came out in 2010, it’s grown into a franchise and a goldmine for Sylvester Stallone and other somewhat has-been action heroes. Now, The Expendables 3 is on the way (summer 2014) and Sly Stallone has caused some ripples in the microblogosphere with a recent tweet about the casting.
We understand that tweets aren’t cast in stone, and that they can often be misunderstood, but this looks pretty clear and straightforward: “Willis out…Harrison Ford in” Yup, that pretty much can only mean that Bruce Willis, who starred in The Expendables 2, is out of the cast for The Expendables 3 while Harrison Ford is in. Here, look at the tweet for yourself:
If this is, in fact, a true understanding of Sly’s tweet, then Ford will join Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Milla Jovovich, Mickey Rourke, Wesley Snipes, Mel Gibson, Jackie Chan, and more in the cast of The Expendables 3.
It’s unclear if Stallone’s next tweet was in reference to Willis, but it may be, and it looks like there’s some bad blood between the two blockbuster heavy weights:
