“Drug store kill clip” – need I say more? You know how this goes down if you have seen other horror films like 28 Days Later, Zombieland, and Shaun of the Dead. This scene is clichéd to shit, but I doubt anyone will be complaining here. When you need to stock up on supplies, you just can’t avoid a grocery or drug store and chances are you’re going to run into some trouble. It’s common sense to pop in a scene like this, just make sure it’s at least fun to watch.
The above clip is far from epic, however, I’ve never seen someone choke out a zombie, or in this case an infected townsperson with a stick. The Demented gets a plus one for that alone in my book, and if you feel the same way you may want to check out the full film on Blu-ray/DVD on July 30th.
