The movie adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s best-selling book, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is finally getting some traction. Douglas Booth is joining the cast, taking on the role of Mr. Bingley. The rest of the cast includes Lily James as Elizabeth Bennett, Bella Heathcote as one of the other four Bennett sisters, Jack Huston as George Wickham, and Sam Riley as Mr. Darcy.
The book and the film Pride and Prejudice and Zombies are obvious liberal adaptations of the Jane Austen classic Pride and Prejudice. As such, the film tells the story of a woman’s quest for love and independence amid the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the undead into vicious killers.
Burr Steers is directing while Natalie Portman, Marc Butan, Sean McKittrick, Brian Oliver, Annette Savitch, Allison Shearmur, and Tyler Thompson are producing.
