Let’s address why King Hazard posted the Randy Blythe quote of the day early today, and why Blythe said what he said. Because GWAR frontman, Dave Brockie (aka, Oderus Urungus) died last March, and according to the report made by the Virginia’s State Medical Examiner’s Office, released yesterday, Brockie died of an accidental heroin overdose.
But GWAR seems to be moving on with Mike Bishop, the first man to fill the shoes of Beefcake the Mighty, on vocals. You can see GWAR with Bishop performing at the fifth annual GWAR-B-Q, an event Brockie worked hard to establish. GWAR-B-Q takes place on August 16th, at Hadad’s Lake in Richmond, Virginia. Additionally, a public memorial will be held the day before, on August 15th.
