After years of obstacles in his life, Daniel Cormier finally earned UFC gold on Saturday night at UFC 187, when he defeated the Number 1 light heavyweight contender, Anthony Johnson, in the main event. It took three difficult rounds for Cormier to secure the UFC belt, but he pulled it off gracefully with a submission (rear naked choke). It was an exciting victory for Cormier, one that we think fans will most likely never forgot.
However, Ryan Bader isn’t pleased with it since he wanted the title shot. In fact, Bader was pretty vocal about it on Twitter and nearly exchanged fists with Cormier during the UFC 187 post-fight press conference. The heat really turned up when Cormier talked about the things Bader said over Twitter.
