Crawl Bitch Crawl (2012) – Teaser Trailer Released [VIDEO]

Like the chick who grabs your junk under the table at a bar, but then suddenly has to “wake up early” when you ask her back to your bachelor pad for drinks, the 40-second teaser trailer released for Oklahoma Ward’s newest indie horror flick, Crawl Bitch Crawl, leaves me breathless, completely unsatisfied, and wanting more. Also, a little bit angry.

I should probably clarify though…

crawl bitch crawl

I’m not angry because some bitch grabbed my junk and then wouldn’t put out. I’m angry because Ward decided the best course of action was to taunt us with a mere 40 seconds, 40 seconds folks, of what looks to be a fist-clenching, breath-holding, claustrophobic thrill-ride, instead of waiting and letting us see the full trailer. Which, in case you were wondering, is “coming soon,” according to Crawl Bitch Crawl‘s official website. I’m one of those people who want what they want rightfuckingnow, and what I want, rightfuckingnow, is to see a full trailer!

Crawl Bitch Crawl‘s website cites the premise of the movie as this: “An elite security team assigned the task of protecting the last known woman who can become pregnant, find themselves caught in an endless claustrophobic underground tunnel system. The team soon learns [that] the real horror is not the unstoppable force chasing them, but the ever-growing smaller tunnel itself. The will to live for each member of the team gets challenged with the obstacle of a 14-inch, 2,000-foot tunnel.”

The idea is amazing, and that 40-second teaser definitely had me feeling that inescapable sense of suffocation. Let’s hope, though, that the whole movie turns out to be just as good as the trailer, and that Oklahoma Ward is even half as capable of forcing his audience into that horrible feeling of asphyxiating, confining dread that Neil Marshall achieved in 2005’s The Descent.

I’m (not so) patiently waiting for the full Crawl Bitch Crawl trailer.

Mr. Ward, it was an absolute PLEASURE to write about and share Crawl Bitch Crawl with our fans! If ever there’s a chance to get word out for a movie that might not necessarily get the praise, or exposure it deserves, I want to help where I can, and Crawl Bitch Crawl DEFINITELY deserves it! I am more looking forward to your movie, than anything that’s coming out this year!

Thank you so much for not only making great horror that you, and all horror fans can be proud of, but also for taking the time to reply to my article!

      • TY Joanna – without the $ to market a film like Hollywood has/does – getting eyeballs and the attention of horror fans is a huge mountain to climb. That’s why when we learned of this article – we were all very very happy! We make the movies because we love the medium – the PR/marketing side – well, lol – that’s a whole story onto itself. Point  – everyday we are learning – it’s grand sites like this that are VITAL for any indie films to carve out a following – to gain positive/negative feedback etc – to be exposed to an audience – without people like you and this site – it’s a lost cause for true Indie Films in a world where Indie films are being made every single day. Sites like yours and writers like yourself help guide people past a ton of crap and towards Indie Films that may be worth watching. In my eyes – it’s only going to get more and more vital for the internet to have platforms/writers like this site/yourself. Again, we THANK YOU and  YELL! deeply for the write-up .  It helps push us all here to work that much harder to make sure we are creating films that people can enjoy on multiple levels! We’ll do all we can to also link to the site here and bring our audience here as well. Very much look forward to sharing more content soon – and – if you guide us to an email addy to send further content to in the coming months – we’ll be sure you all are amongst the first to receive the notifications/content/news on the film and where it is going 😉 Talk soon – and look forward to talking in person at some time hopefully 😉

I feel the exact same way, Mr. Ward, in that there’s always so much exposure for the big name films, that Indie flicks are often left by the wayside, and that really just sucks. More often than not, the Indie flicks trump big Hollywood, and yet no one sees them. I’ll do all I can to help get the word out for this, and any future movies you make. You can email me, or any one of us at, for any kind of content or news, and we’ll add it to the site. Also, if you felt so inclined as to do an interview with us, we’d be more than excited to make that happen!
Thank you so much for helping link to our site, and bringing more traffic here. That means the world to us! I hope to hear from you soon!

This looks friggin sick! Reminds of Last House and The Descent. Anyone know if we can catch this at Fantasia this year?

    •  Thank you tons for the comment and the interest! We’ll be letting Yell! Magazine know first where the screenings of this movie will be taking place. 🙂
