Get Out (2017): Watch Two Clips From Jordan Peele’s Horror Directorial Debut

Get Out (2017)

One of the most-anticipated horror films of the year is definitely Get Out and there’s two obvious reasons that standout.

First, it’s the directorial debut of Jordan Peele, who is mostly known for comedy skits such as Key and Peele. So for him to switch over to horror is extremely unusual and bizarre. Second, the story looks and sounds completely unconventional in horror. Well, there are a few clichés seen already the trailer, but overall the film appears to be pretty damn unique, in my opinion.

Get Out is a speculative thriller of an African-American man who visits his white girlfriend’s family estate, he becomes ensnared in a more sinister real reason for the invitation.

Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya, Sicario) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams, Girls), have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy (Catherine Keener, Captain Phillips) and Dean (Bradley Whitford, The Cabin in the Woods).

At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.

With two new clips on the horizon, fans can get another taste of the uncomfortable conversations featured in the film right below. Written and directed by Peele, Get Out stars Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, and Catherine Keener.

The horror film will be released in theaters by Universal Pictures on February 24th, 2017.
