Through the Never is the film that had its own panel at the San Diego Comic-Con and made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 9th.
The film is about Trip, a young roadie for Metallica, sent on an urgent mission during the band’s show. But what seems like a simple assignment turns into a surreal adventure. If you’re consuming everything there is to know about Metallica’s first feature film, then you’ll be pleased to see the first clips of Hit the Lights: The Making of Through the Never, which actually are enticing and interesting on their own.
Produced by Charlotte Huggins and directed by Nimród Antal, you get to see a lot of the people behind the scenes who helped make this 3-D Metallica adventure a reality… and it’s no real surprise to see Metallica late for their own shoot. Full of interviews and footage from concept meetings, Hit the Lights is a must-see for any music fan really.
Through the Never will be released to IMAX on September 27th and then theatrically on October 4th.
