Frank Miller’s neo-noir comic book series Sin City was adapted to film by Robert Rodriguez over eight years ago, and it had a solid roster of high-profile actors attached to it, such as Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, and Rosario Dawson. My favorite character and segment told in the first installment was hands down the one for Marv (Rourke), and, as this is a prequel of sorts, Marv is back in the new film titled Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. There are also at least three other additional unknown characters that have been recently cast to Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven, and Juno Temple.
A Dame To Kill For is currently filming and is getting a beautiful 3-D treatment that features other returning and new cast members, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jaime King, Dennis Haysbert, Jamie Chung, and Josh Brolin (he’ll helm Clive Owen’s character, Dwight, in the film).
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is slated for theaters on October 4, 2013.
