The Ultimate Fighting Championship will once again return to Montreal on November 17th in what is deemed to be a memorable and unforgettable evening.
UFC 154 takes place at The Bell Centre, which is familiar territory to many of its fans across the globe. The main event will consist of a title unification bout including a prominent figure in the Canadian MMA scene and quite possibly the greatest fighter on the planet today.
Georges St. Pierre will defend his title against the UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit. Condit became the interim champion after stepping in for an injured St-Pierre against prolific welterweight and former Strikeforce Champion . However Condit has not defended that title since his win back in February of this year. This will be St-Pierre’s first fight back from his knee injury that was reported in December 2011; he has not fought since his dominant title defense over Jake Shields at UFC 129 in April 2011.Welterweight Champion and hometown favorite
The winner of the main event will most likely face the winner of the co-main event in what will be the next welterweight title fight. Fresh off an impressive decision win, Johny Hendricks will square off against Danish standout Martin Kampmann. Both fighters are on win streaks and will be eager to prove why they should be the next in line at the coveted strap.
The five-fight main card will be shown on pay-per-view while a portion of the preliminary card will be broadcasted by FX and (Sportsnet in Canada). The remainder of the prelims can be streamed on Facebook.
