For those of you, including myself, who thought Fast and Furious 7 wouldn’t be completed because franchise star Paul Walker passed away a few weeks ago in a tragic car crash will be glad to hear that co-star Vin Diesel has announced the official release date for the James Wan-directed film. Apparently, before Walker died at age 40, the Furious star wanted dedicated fans of the franchise to learn the news first via Facebook.
Diesel granted the wish of his longtime friend and film partner, along with a photo of the last scene they shot together and this message:
There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…
I guess they had enough completed scenes with Walker to finish Fast and Furious 7. Fortunately, his look-alike brother Cody will also be stepping in for additional scenes.
The film drops in theaters on April 10, 2015.
