The Ultimate Fighter is in its third season on FX since the switch from Spike TV in spring of 2012, and the move to Tuesday nights has improved the overall ratings for the show. Of course, the commitment of Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen as coaches for this season easily helps as well. However, the ratings of the reality show dropped 6% from last week, despite Uriah Hall’s spinning hook kick that knocked out Adam Cella at the end of the first round of their quarterfinal fight, leaving him hospitalized.

Thankfully, the UFC released a behind-the-scenes clip of this episode and MMA referee, Steve Mazzagatti, reassured everyone that Cella will be fine, as seen in the video.

In addition to the fight, Dana White teased his fans with the following message on Twitter, and I must say that the KO doesn’t fall short from all the outspoken hype.

Prior to the start of this season on FX, White also stated the following:

“I told you guys, last season of The Ultimate Fighter was the worst season in the history of TUF. This next season is so awesome and so badass. We have a guy on this season of The Ultimate Fighter, every fight he’s in, someone goes to the hospital.

“The whole house is terrified of this guy,” he continues between bites. “F–king terrified. Everybody. I picked this fight, and this guy is lined up with the guy I’m telling you about, and the guy has a nervous breakdown in the house over the weekend. Has a f–king nervous breakdown. Freaks out and has a nervous breakdown. This guy scared the living s–t out of everyone. It’s awesome.”

Check out the video clip, and let us know in the comment section below if you think it is one of the nastiest knockouts in UFC history, or even in the history of combat sports.
