French progressive metal sextet, Uneven Structure, have released the music for “Incube” from the band’s forthcoming concept album, La Partition. The album will be released on April 21st.
Igor Omodei commented about “Incube”:
‘Incube’ is the first of many videos and an introduction to the universe of La Partition. It’s been a while since we had the idea to showcase Incube first as it is a track where the Februus and La Partition stories bridges, featuring all the important characters from this album. The video is some sort of home-made story-telling experiment. The lyrics on this album being more frontal, I’ve ended up using Matt’s vocals as actual dialogue lines. This in turn produced a more relaxed, short-movie-ish feel to the video I guess, which is something I’ve been interested in giving a try for quite some time now! All parties involved are close friends and family members, we’d like to thank Alex Meddeb from Gravity, Manon Quinot, Thomas Romarin and the TCRM Blida for their help in doing these videos.

About Uneven Structure:
Hailing from France, one of the biggest markets and breeding grounds for bands within the tech metal and progressivescene, Uneven Structure was formed in May 2008, from the intention of Benoit Friedrich (bass) and Igor Omodei (guitar) to finally bring alive the technically enhanced and progressive music they had been working on for themselves. The sound they were aiming to create was a one-of-a-kind merger of groovy polyrhythmic guitar riffs with huge slick of ambient guitar leads, which they undoubtedly accomplished.
Since the release of their debut album, Februus, in 2011, the band did multiple European tours with tech metal and prog rock genre-leaders such as Protest the Hero, Textures, and Tesseract, and performed at festivals such as Brutal Assault and Euroblast.
