FX continues to tease their upcoming 13-episode drama series The Strain from Academy Award nominated filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, and their latest tease is nothing but intriguing again because it doesn’t reveal much. Unless you already read the best-selling vampire novel trilogy of the same name written by del Toro and Chuck Hogan, then you should know what’s coming up. Otherwise, you will be left in the dark until the series begins, which won’t happen for another two months.
The Strain stars Corey Stoll, Mia Maestro, Sean Astin, Kevin Durand, Natalie Brown, Jonathan Hyde, Richard Sammel, Robert Maillet, Jack Kesy, Ben Hyland, and Miguel Gomez.
The pilot was was directed by del Toro and will premiere on July 19th on FX.
About The Strain
The Strain is a high conceptthat tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City.
