Sleepwalkers (2014) – Hell Is Empty [First Trailer]

If the title sounds like epic ’80s goodness from a horror master, that’s because the title is. But just the title. The first trailer for the upcoming 2014 Sleepwalkers film written and directed by Ryan Lightbourn has nothing to do with the 1992 film of the same name based on the original screenplay from Stephen King. My money is on Lightbourn’s film having to change its name before it gets released.

For now, let us all revel in the bloody carnage of the first trailer for Sleepwalkers (2014).

We’ve all heard of low-budget films, but according to Lightbourn’s description, this is a micro-budget movie. I’m guessing that means a lot of favors are owed to family and friends. Even if Sleepwalkers was made on a dirty and frayed shoestring budget, some of the shots in the trailer look amazing and the practical effects look fantastic.

I’m looking forward to checking this one out in the near future.

Sleepwalkers (2014) synopsis:

Set in the deepest corners of Florida’s woods, five college students attempt to enjoy a festive spring break getaway when they encounter a deadly, nocturnal presence. As horrific events unfold, the group joins forces with a local convenience store owner & a prison escapee. With night time approaching, they must set aside their differences and use their wits to survive.
