The Sidekicks Drop The New Track “Jesus Christ Supermalls”

Here’s a calm way to start your day, with a calm, mid-tempo pop-punk track from Ohio’s The Sidekicks. There probably couldn’t be a better time of year to release “Jesus Christ Supermalls,” which comes off the band’s upcoming album Runners in the Nerved World, due out on January 20, 2015, via Epitaph Records.

The album was produced by Phil Elk (Band of Horses, Fleet Foxes, Built to Spill, and The Shins) in Seattle, Washington.

Vocalist/guitarist Steve Ciolek commented on the track:

‘Jesus Christ Supermalls’ is kind of our way of taking a step towards making a real pop song. We weren’t trying to get all symphonic or Phil Spector on this record, but there wasn’t any rule that we couldn’t use strings and things like that. For the first time ever we really let ourselves explore the possibilities of a studio.

You can pre-order Runners in the Nerved World on MP3 or here.
